What Government Pisses Away

empire of the united states

I was reading an article the other day, that in short went something like this: the total amount in dollars lost, plundered, unaccounted for, misused, etc., by the Pentagon, around 8.5 trillion.  The same on wars, 1.6 trillion.  Total (actual) amount on bank bailouts, 14.5 trillion.  Even though I understand all these cool-aide drinking son’s-a-bitches in the world will argue until doomsday about the veracity of these figures, split hairs about the details and deny the numbers in whole or in part… there is an overwhelming amount of evidence these figures are close to accurate.  In any case, there is no way I personally would ever believe that AT LEAST this aggregate number of 24.6 trillion since–lets just say 9/11–hasn’t been pissed-away, stolen, spent and robbed for its own ends by the US government.  My question therefore, is how much toward homelessness, veteran aid, healthcare and hunger would just south of 25 TRILLION cover over a 15 year period?  Hmm, I don’t know, maybe ALL OF IT!!!  With trillions left in the bank.

We now have less than one year until the 2016 presidential election.Despite the dire state of our nation, however, you can rest assured that none of the problems that continue to undermine our freedoms will be addressed in any credible way by the presidential candidates–certainly not if doing so might jeopardize their standing with the unions, corporations or the moneyed elite bankrolling their campaigns. The following are just a few of the issues that should be front and center in every presidential debate. That they are not is a reflection of our willingness as citizens to have our political elections reduced to little more than popularity contests that are, in the words of Shakespeare, “full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.”
